The daily panoramic tour of Sofia offers a pleasant scenic drive in the central part of the city. The tour starts at the Alexander Nevski Cathedral – the biggest one in Bulgaria and according to many, the most spectacular building in Sofia. It continues on to the Holy Synod, St. Sofia Church, The Bulgarian National Gallery for Foreign Art, The National Library, The National Palace of Culture and The Earth and Man National Museum.
You will also see the biggest among Sofia parks which is Boris’ Garden, the Eagle’s Bridge and the monument of Vassil Levski - a great Bulgarian national hero. The Council of Ministers, the 16th century Banya Bashi Mosque, St. Nedelya Old Metropolitan Church, The Administration of the President and the National Archeological Museum are not to be missed.
You will also visit the former Royal Palace which now houses the National Revival Art Gallery and the Ethnographic Museum. Before going back to the Alexander Nevski Cathedral, you will pass by The National Assembly Square where the Tsar Osvoboditel (King Liberator), erected in 1907 by Italian sculptor Arnoldo Zocchi, sits in the middle.
